In data center and network cabling systems, the method of securing the bottom accessory to the face plate is crucial, as it determines the stability and reliability of the entire cabling system. According to Ningbo Better (BTBL) product design, the connection between the bottom accessory and the face plate primarily relies on two mechanisms: snap-fit and screw fastening.
To ensure the secure fastening of the face plate to the bottom accessory, BTBL employs the following two core technologies:
Core Principle: This is the most common and primary connection method. The edges of the face plate and bottom accessory are designed with protruding clips (or tabs) and corresponding grooves (or slots). By pressing down or rotating, the clips engage with the grooves, resulting in a "click" sound and locking the components in place.
Advantages: This method requires no tools, making installation extremely quick and disassembly equally convenient. It is suitable for standard connections between 86-type and 80-type face plates and bottom accessories.
Scope of Application: From single-port to multi-port (such as four-port, five-port) face plates, snap-fit connections can be used, widely applied in standard installations in general office networks and data centers.
Core Principle: Building upon the snap-fit connection, BTBL's design includes pre-drilled screw holes in the four corners of the face plate and bottom accessory. Screws are then inserted into these holes using a screwdriver for secondary fastening.
Advantages: This method provides higher mechanical strength, preventing the face plate from loosening due to external impact or prolonged use. It is particularly suitable for industrial environments or applications requiring long-term secure fastening.
Scope of Application: Suitable for 86-type, 80-type, and larger 150-type systems, especially face plates with heavier modules.
In addition to the above fastening mechanisms, BTBL incorporates the following details in its product design to ensure secure fastening:
Function: BTBL's bottom accessories (such as 86-type, 80-type, 150-type) are equipped with standardized mounting holes. Function: These holes are used not only for fixing the junction box to the wall but also for aligning the panel's snap-fit positions, ensuring precise alignment during installation.
Function: The back of the panel features multiple pre-fabricated slots or tabs.
Function: These slots precisely match the snaps on the bottom accessories, ensuring the panel's levelness and flatness during connection.
Function: In some specially designed bottom accessories (such as Blank Wall Plates), an additional protective frame may be added.
Function: These protective frames provide additional support after the screws are tightened, preventing the panel from deforming due to external forces.
Requirement: In high-density data centers, panels need to withstand a large number of fiber optic patch cords and cables.
Solution: BTBL's bottom accessories and panels are secured with screws, ensuring stability under heavy loads.
Requirement: Facing vibration, temperature changes, and external impacts.
Solution: The dual fastening (snap-fit + screw) mechanism provides extra security.
Requirement: The need for quick installation and replacement of panels.
Solution: The snap-fit connection requires no tools, greatly improving deployment efficiency.
